Part 2: Measuring Business Success Online: an introduction to Google Analytics
Most businesses know they need to spend time and money marketing themselves both online, especially with the huge swing to online shopping caused by the pandemic. It's often difficult to know whether this is successful though.
Google Analytics is a powerful, free tool which helps people responsible for websites understand much more about their customers, and what is driving sales. Whether it's which piece of marketing attracted a potential lead, or how individual parts of the website are performing. Google Analytics can help everyone from a business owner to junior staff do their jobs more efficiently.
This session is an introduction to using Google Analytics, and will include:
• Acquisition - learning how people found your site, whether through Google, social media, links from other sites etc
• Tracking goals: a guide to putting in place a strategy for tracking if your website is helping you achieve business goals or not
• Mobile: now more than 50% of all searches happen on mobiles, find out if your site is making it easier or harder for people to find your business.
• Behaviour: how do customers interact with your site, which parts help them achieve what they and you need, and which parts put them off.
The training will be taught by Lucy Johnston, from Bread & Butter Marketing, who spent 7 years working at Google in Dublin before setting up her own agency which provides search advertising management and consultancy to businesses and charities across the UK, and further afield.
