The GlaxoSmithKline Enterprise Fund supports sustainable job-creating initiatives in Ayrshire. Established with a generous contribution from GlaxoSmithKline, the fund will have a major impact on future economic regeneration and aims to create many new jobs over the next two years. Partnership is vital to the success of continuing growth and the fund is a collaborative venture involving GlaxoSmithKline and Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

who can apply?

The fund is available to;

anyone wishing to establish a new business in Ayrshire
existing businesses that are looking to expand

If you can demonstrate that you'll be creating new, sustainable, quality full or part-time jobs to help regenerate the local community then you may be eligible to apply to the fund for a grant to assist you in your project.

new opportunities

The fund is also available to social enterprises and voluntary organisations that will lead directly to the creation of new jobs. Applications must be able to show that the business activity will be based in Ayrshire. However, there is no requirement to live in the area.

Projects supporting the development of high-tech or manufacturing based jobs are particularly welcome, but applicants from all industrial and commercial sectors will be considered.

Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry will manage the fund and a Fund Management Panel will assess project proposals.

what's available?

The maximum amount available for any single application is £5000 per net sustainable job created.

how do I apply?

Download your application form below, it will ask for details of your project, including financial information, business activity and the number of jobs to be created. You are also asked to provide supplementary information (outlined in section five of the application form) which includes a business plan. If you have a current business plan that covers your future job creation this will be accepted, alternatively download business plan form below. Please submit all documents to support your application electronically to the email address listed in contact details below. (All file types supported except zipped files)

Next Application Deadline 21st October 2010

The Fund Management Panel will assess applications on 18th November 2010 and applicants will receive written notification of the Panel's decision within 2 weeks of that date.
